Thank you so much for your interest in our home that we have lived in, and had many joyous experiences in, for the last 17 years. It is a happy place. The walls exude joy and we trust that the right family will find themselves continuing the love and joy that ooze from the walls and gardens. It's a great neighborhood that is incredibly welcoming. The 50 houses enjoy families from 14 countries. We have great pot lucks with cuisines from all over the world.
There are annual gatherings that include the Tracewood Holiday Stroll, Halloween block party and the Little Bitty Easter Egg Hunt. The big Greek Festival is across the street each year in May and the food, festivities and dancing is so much fun. Just walk over and try to resist the incredible food and desserts. Terry Hershey Park is within walking/biking distance and is one of the best parks in the metro. We can walk to over 30 restaurants. I personally get exercise when walking with my backpack to Kroger to get groceries.
Although it's hard to tell from the freeze damage of this winter, the grounds are planted with heirloom plants that came from our 100 year old home's courtyard in New Orleans, Louisiana that we transplanted here. My master-gardening friends have had a frenzy gathering clippings to keep these species in their gardens as have I so that I can carry them forward to our new home. If only there was a little more land here at our Tracewood home to plant gardens for veggies and no restriction to realize my dream to be able to have chickens to have eggs, we'd stay here forever. The grounds are totally organic. The house is chemical-free which is why there is no carpet. It is a healthy and happy home!
